Welcome Heather Ballet Bootcamp Thursday's 6:15 pm

Heather began her dance training in 1987. She trained under the direction of Lewis Hooten while she was a member of Ballet in the Pines, and received training from Joanne Hissey, Patty Manzelli, Jill Marie, Susan Gordon, Christye Crevier, Leanne Sutton, and Paulo Manso de Sousa of the Miami City Ballet. Her training includes master classes with Florida Dance Masters, L.A. Underground, NYC Dance Alliance, Tremaine and the Harid Ballet Conservatory. During these master classes she had the privilege of training with Mia Michaels of So You Think You Can Dance. While a member of Ballet in the Pines she stared as the wolf in Peter and the Wolf, was chosen as the lead Priestess in The Other and appeared in Who’s Who in Dance in 1995. Special performances include Super Bowl Pre-Game Show 29 in 1995 and Super Bowl Pre-Game Show 33 in 1999, the Dan Marino Half Time farewell performance in 2000, Miami Dolphins Opening Day 2000, and Miami Children’s Miracle Network Telethon. Heather attended many competitions while she was a company member of Sparkle and Impulse such as: Starquest, Starpower, Rhee Gold, Showstopper, Showbiz, Dance Alliance, L.A. Underground, Footloose, and On Stage America. She won many awards for performances in ballet and jazz. Heather later began teaching ballet, tap and jazz in 1999.
